Representatives of the project consortium presented the Main Project – Pilot Area, as the final part of the technical documentation titled "Sustainable Economic Development and Environmental Protection of Areas with Natura Constraints in Bosnia and Herzegovina (ANC BIH) – Preparation of Technical Documentation for the Construction of an Irrigation System in the Municipality of Berkovići."

The meeting was attended by representatives of the project consortium, the Municipality of Berkovići, the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Water Management of Republika Srpska, and the Agricultural Projects Coordination Unit (APCU).

As part of the Main Project, the designer outlined a phased and step-by-step construction of the system by logical units, allowing for partial implementation in accordance with available funding.

The preparation of project and technical documentation is being carried out within the framework of the project "Support for Economic Development and Environmental Protection of Areas with Natural Constraints in Bosnia and Herzegovina – ANC BIH," implemented by the Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Bari and funded by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation.

The Municipality of Berkovići is participating in the implementation of the project "Agriculture Resilience and Competitiveness," funded by the World Bank and implemented through the relevant ministry. The project includes plans for the construction of an irrigation system in the Municipality of Berkovići. One of the obligations of the Municipality of Berkovići is the preparation of project and technical documentation.
