Today, February 28, the 3rd (Third) Regular Session of the Berkovići Municipal Assembly was held, during which the following documents were discussed and adopted:
The Action Plan for Gender Equality in the Municipality of Berkovići for the period from 2024 to 2027, as well as the Digital Development Roadmap for the Municipality of Berkovići for the period from 2025 to 2029, were unanimously adopted.
The initiatives proposed by the Mayor of Berkovići, Bojan Samarđić, were also unanimously adopted. These include:
- Conclusion on taking all necessary actions to remove buildings in ruinous and devastated condition in the area of the settlement of Berkovići, as well as securing the necessary financial resources for the implementation of this process, and a Conclusion on initiating the preparation of a conceptual design for the construction of a park with a monument or memorial fountain at the location known as "Vaskovića House," in memory of the victims of Ustaše terror, which would be implemented after the removal of the remains of the building;
- Conclusion on initiating an initiative to the Government of the Republic of Srpska, the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management of the Republic of Srpska, the public company "Electric Power Industry of the Republic of Srpska," "Hydroelectric Power Plants on Trebišnjica," and "Hydroelectric Power Plant Dabar" to include the Municipality of Berkovići in the multifunctional role of the "XЕ Dabar" project to secure irrigation water for Dabar Field;
- Conclusion on initiating an initiative to the "Electricity Distribution Company - Electro-Herzegovina" JSC Trebinje and the "Electric Power Industry of the Republic of Srpska" JSC Trebinje to arrange the yard of the business building "Electro-Herzegovina" in Berkovići;
- Conclusion on initiating an initiative to the Government of the Republic of Srpska, the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Srpska, and the Public Enterprise "Roads of the Republic of Srpska" for the rehabilitation of part of the regional road R 6101 Krivača - Berkovići - Border of the Republic of Srpska (Do) over a distance of about 14 km (the section that was not rehabilitated in 2011).

The following decisions were also adopted:
- Decision on the amendment of the decision on credit indebtedness;
- Decision on the amount of the stay tax in the Municipality of Berkovići;
- Decision on determining the average final construction price per m² of usable residential and business space for 2025;
- Decision on determining the average market price of constructed residential and business space and the fee for the sale of urban – construction land in state ownership for 2025;
- Decision on determining the rent for 2025;
- Decision on determining the fee for the arrangement of urban – construction land for 2025;
- Decision on the conditions and methods of awarding real estate in the ownership of the Municipality below market value or without compensation.
The Assembly also adopted several programs: the program for joint communal consumption, the program for regular and emergency road and facility maintenance, the program for the expenditure of funds collected from concession fees, the program for the expenditure of funds collected from water fees, and the program for the expenditure of funds collected from fire protection fees.
The Berkovići Municipal Assembly verified and awarded council mandates to Jelena Ćupina (SDS) and Biljana Đurić (PDP).
Biljana Đurić was elected as the Vice President of the Berkovići Municipal Assembly, while Zdravka Ivanišević was appointed as the Head of the Department for General Administration, Spatial Planning, Communal Activities, and Veterans' Protection, and Danilo Ćupina was appointed as the Head of the Department for Finance, Economy, Development Management, and Social Activities.
Additionally, Ranko Šetka was elected as the Secretary of the Berkovići Municipal Assembly.
