The representatives of the Bari Mediterranean Agronomic Institute, Gianluigi Cardone and Suzana Madžarić, were on a working visit to the municipality of Berkovići today, April 16, 2024.

At the meeting with the Berkovići Municipality Deputy Mayor, Bojan Samardžić and the head of the Department for Finance, Economy and Public Activities, Danilo Ćupina, they discussed the current and planned activities within the framework of the implementation of the project "Support for economic development and environmental protection of areas with natural limitations in BiH - ANC BiH" (finalization of activities related to the development of the Rural Development Strategy of the Municipality of Berkovići and the development of project-  technical documentation for the implementation of the project "Construction of an irrigation system").

The meeting confirmed the continuation of cooperation between the Municipality of Berkovići and the Bari Mediterranean Agronomic Institute through the implementation of the "ProBio BiH" project, which will, among other things, support agricultural producers from Berkovići through support for autochthonous varieties, cultures, and autochthonous products.
