The Parish House in Berkovići Was Filled to the Last Seat
Last night, the Parish House in Berkovići was packed to capacity. The young actors from the Drama Group of the "Jovan Dučić" Gymnasium in Trebinje provided an unforgettable evening. The theatrical play "Welcome, Decorated Wedding Guests" brought to life the old wedding traditions of Herzegovina, and the audience enthusiastically followed every detail.
The performance was a beautiful homage to the rich cultural heritage of Herzegovina, and the audience’s reaction showed just how deeply they appreciated the effort to preserve and celebrate these customs. The actors' dedication and passion for the tradition of the region resonated with everyone in attendance, leaving a lasting impression and a sense of pride in the cultural legacy.
Scenes filled with humor, emotions, and tradition alternated throughout the play, as the talented gymnasium students showcased that youth and customs can go hand in hand. Each performance was met with enthusiastic approval, and at the end of the play, the long applause was the best reward for the young actors and their directors – Neda Gudelj, Jelena Mandrapa, and Dijana Šinik.
